_{Ladies and gentlemen, we now have a contest sponsored by yours truly, *ozhall. We are in need of graphics for our new journal layout. Now that I will be maintaining our subscription, we can display ourselves with vigor and aesthetic. keep in mind when designing the graphics that upon entry into the contest, the work becomes the joint property of yourself and the Digital Art Network. Once the contest has expires, those who are runners up will regain full ownership, while those who have been selected as winning works will remain the joint property of the artist and the Network. Now that all the disclaimery legal codswallop is out of the way, on to the good stuff!

The admin will be discussing prizes over the course of the next few days, but the contest is open effective immediately. Since this is a winner takes all, first place or no place sort of contest, there will be a somewhat extensive prize package for the winner. Prizes that will be discussed may include any or all of the following:

Three Month Subscription to deviantART
Print of your choice
Permanent feature in the Digital Art Network journal
Regular updates to said permanent feature
One or several deviantWEAR items
Commissioned works from the administrators or any member of Digital Art Network who has previously agreed to offer commissions
And others to be discussed.

As you can see, there's a good chance you can walk away with a whole boat-load of prizes. So hop to! ^^

If you are interested in becoming a Contest Commission Artist, note the club with "CCA" as your subject line and explain to us the stipulations of your volunteering.

If you are submitting works to the contest, note the club with "Contest: 2008 Journal Contest" as your subject line with links to the whole set of works you are submitting.

In closing, there are no limits to how many entries you may submit, but when you have multiple works in a single entry (as you should to fulfill the need for a footer, header, and background), they should all follow a theme and count as one contest entry.

No end date has yet been decided, but you never know, so you may want to hurry. ^^
